Provide overall direction for and management of the Accounting function of the company, its subsidiaries, joint ventures and projects. Support the CFO in responding to requests from Quanta.
Develop and maintain proper accounting controls, procedures, and techniques to ensure that financial transactions are processed accurately and timely and follow SOX compliance. Hire, train and direct accounting staff to ensure that required accounting tasks are handled competently and performed consistently according to company policy and procedures. Maintain all Quanta Sox controls and ensure changes are documented and updated with Quanta. Partner with IT to ensure all ERP system users have correct access according to Quanta Control Documents. Serve as primary liaison with internal and external auditors; coordinate audit schedule, preparation and analyses. Produce monthly financial reporting package and supporting schedules that are accurate and timely, both for internal use and Quanta reporting. Ensure that the checklist is followed and signed off on and tat all supporting account analysis and bank reconciliations are completed. Coordinate with all departments to meet Quanta closing schedule deadlines. Ensure that Quanta procedures are followed for proper accounting of fixed assets including periodic verification of assets owned, accurate depreciation schedules, and costing of equipment costs to projects accurately and timely. Assist CFO with developing annual home office overhead budget and quarterly updates; provide monthly reporting to company management and budgeted versus actual expenditures. Special Projects as assigned by CFO or other management.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Educational and experience requirements include: Four year accounting/business degree with advanced degree or CPA preferred. Extensive experience (10+ years) in the construction industry preferred. Knowledge of all aspects of corporate and project accounting, taxation and financial reporting and financial management required. Advanced knowledge and understanding of financial policies and controls, procedures, management practices and accounting software applications is essential. Experience with construction accounting software is highly desirable. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, supervisory and organizational skills.
