OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a RETAIL MULTI-SITE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM MANAGER join our Los Angeles / Orange County team within our Project Development Services (“PDS”) Division. The candidate will be expected to lead 1-2 national retail program roll-outs. The candidate will work closely with the West Region head of Multi-site retail (who will typically oversee the programs at an executive oversight level. The candidate will be the key client contact managing both the overall program and strategy as well as the execution of the work through a team of project managers local to the site(s). Typically the program manager manages the projects through permitting before they are transferred to the local project managers for local construction oversight. In some instances the candidate may also execute the construction oversight work should the workload demands permit.
Project types will typically include renovations, tenant improvement, ground up build outs, quick service restaurants (QSR) and varying scale projects. We are looking for a solid background in at least one of the following areas: Program Management, Project Management, Architecture, Construction, Cost Estimating or Engineering.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Client Interface & Project Team Relationship Management * Managing a team of remote project managers * Functioning at a program management level ensuring the program functions within the clients key objectives * Running Meetings, Setting Agenda’s * RFP Generation, Interviewing, Analysis & Recommendations of Project Team Assembly, including Architect/Interior Designer/Procurement Agent and Bidding General Contractor Services & Hard Bid Analysis * Oversight of FF&E & 3rd party Procurement Process * Manage the tracking of all sites from inceptions through completion/opening * Assist Owner with Contract Negotiations * Review of the project managers budgets, schedules, reports, risk registers for accuracy, quality control
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution. * Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, preferred. * Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience – or a combination of relevant work experience, education, or an equivalent Military experience. * Experience in construction management or real estate, preferred. * Experience with Budget & Milestone/Schedule Development, Management and Tracking
