Lick-Wilmerding High School seeks a part-time Technical Director/Designer to support the Performing Arts Department and other school programs for Spring Semester 2018 (January 8–June 15, 2018). Hours will be mostly 3–6pm with extended evening hours on tech rehearsals and performance dates. A full performance schedule will be reviewed during interviews.
Serve as Technical Director for high school performing arts programs, including scenic design and construction, as well as lighting, sound design and implementation.
Supervise student crews
Provide technical support for school events in the theater
General maintenance of theater and scene shop
Consultations with performing arts faculty
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts with a focus on technical theater (or professional equivalency).
Experience working in high school theater programs a plus.
Required skills include scenic design and construction, experience in sound and lighting design, and knowledge of shop safety protocols.
Strong collaboration skills are also essential.

Additional Salary Information: Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, at a rate of approximately $40–50 per hour.
