Job Summary: Responsible for development of clinical objectives while providing mid-level expertise in full software development lifecycle: design, build, testing, documentation, go-live and post go-live monitoring and support of clinical data repository (CDR), real-time data warehouse interfaces (EDW). Other duties include data intensive analysis and development to integrate, migrate and convert business critical systems. Will require 24x7 monitoring and rotation based on-call duties. Supports design and architecture of solutions to optimize supported applications. Other software development and data analysis duties as directed by manager or area director. Job Responsibilities: 1. Design, specify, and build component-based applications, including: a. -Application Analysis b. -Modeling techniques c. -Component and relational design d. -Complex algorithmic coding e. -A systematic approach to application integration 2. Design, develop and support applications written in various programming languages using current and new development technology including PL/SQL, SQL, Unix scripting, Python and J2EE 3. Scope, implement, test and deploy new features and versions of core applications, databases and utilities 4. Debug and maintain deployments of core applications, databases and utilities 5. Create enhancements to primary and supporting applications, code base and infrastructures 6. Construct and design documentation to aide in maintenance and code use in accordance with team processes and standards 7. Participate in collaborative peer review of design and code to adhere to EIS and team coding standards 8. Work closely with business and clinical analysts to understand requirements. Translate these requirements, recommend system solutions, and formulate detailed specifications from which programs are written. 9. Analyze existing software / code base identify inefficiencies, gaps, and recommend future optimizations 10. Develop Unix and other scripting technologies for data auditing and optimization 11. Follow enterprise policy and guidelines to ensure the fidelity and security of clinical and business critical data 12. Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration On-Call:
