The goal of the Real Estate Division is to create an integrated real estate management and operating organization. To this end, we are transforming the way we approach the development and management of Berkeley's on-campus and off-campus facilities, working to become a highly dynamic planning, management, development, and construction organization focused on customer service, operating efficiency, and new revenue generation. Our goal is to create a structure that positions Berkeley to better respond to the rapidly changing challenges and opportunities that we confront.
Defines, designs and implements network communications and solutions. Provision mobile devices for the Department's mobile users. Respond to and resolve support tickets for mobile device issues. Use the MDM solution to provide reports on device statistics, perform device audits, inventory. Update documentation and procedures as needed for mobile device deployment and support Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Manages centralized computer servers and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of new computer hardware. Performs complex analysis to acquire, install, modify and support operating systems, databases, utilities and Internet/intranet-related tools. Performs complex systems programming and systems support activities. Performs complex systems programming and systems support activities. Operates campus' complex internal data communications systems, including LANs and WANs. Plans, designs and implements networked systems. Performs complex security control activities to prevent hackers from infiltrating campus information.
Enterprise level experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for iOS platform (Desired)
Enterprise level experience with iOS and Android mobile device configuration
Experience with Apple configuration and deployment programs
Experience with IBM Maximo desktop and mobile applications
Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner among varying levels in the organization.
Has thorough knowledge, skills and abilities associated with identifying systems-related issues and actions needed to improve or correct performance
Has knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs.
Has skills associated with adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.

This position is a Contract Appointment at 100% of full-time hours, for a duration of 18-24 months. Contract Appointments over 50% of full-time and 12-months or more are eligible for full UC Berkeley benefits, vacation/sick leave accrual and participation in our retirement package.
