Assigned by Contracts Department leader to partner with the TUAS Business Area lead and team members to provide senior level competency for strategic development of business approaches and ownership of the complete spectrum of proposal, contract and agreement requirements within the TUAS International Business team.
Professionally represent the AV Contracts Department by working cross-functionally with Business Area team members which also include Program Management, Legal, Finance, Operations, Engineering and other disciplines to achieve company objectives, maximize profitability, and identify and minimize areas of risk.
Collaboratively deliver professional and strategic International Contract services to all levels of the AV organization by implementing Contracts processes and process improvements, in the areas of standardized business Contracts Terms and Conditions / Risk Assessment reviews; drafting, negotiating and administration of Teaming Agreements, Nondisclosure Agreements, MOUs/MOAs, etc..
Reviewing Contractual Terms and Conditions, redlining agreements, preparing a compliance and risk assessment matrix for each opportunity.
Proactively anticipate potential areas of International Contractual risk and exposure, while creatively offering innovative solutions to aid in the capture of profitable Business opportunities.
NEGOTIATION - Collaboratively lead the agreed upon strategies for negotiation and capture of International Contracts and Agreements, including price and special provisions as warranted, reduction or elimination of undue risk areas. Assume full International Contract Management responsibilities (from proposal preparation to final contract close-out) for TUAS International Business Area responsibilities.
Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external customer counterparts and key customer personnel.
Directly monitor and manage International contracts for compliance with terms and conditions and regulations as well as for performance to ensure cost, technical, quality, and all delivery and reporting requirements are successfully met.
Directly monitor and manage International contract change activity, to include implementation of formal contract changes as necessary and ensuring unauthorized work or scope creep is prevented. Facilitate resolution of disputes and problems involving assigned contracts and agreements.
Participate with Subcontracts and Purchasing personnel to assure compliance with applicable procedures, including the appropriate flow-down of prime contract requirements.
Implement and manage proprietary information protection via NDA executions, data rights assertions and trade secret policy and practice.
Assure full compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications & Background
Solid International Contracts experience - Current expertise in International laws and regulations, UCC, FAR / DFARS regulations, and relevant legal concepts; including direct experience with International Contracts, both Defense and Commercial. Experience redlining contractual terms and conditions.
Defense Contracts experience - Current expertise in FAR / DFARS regulations, and relevant legal concepts; experience in directly related DoD/Federal prime government contract administration/management, including background working full spectrum of US DoD contract types.
Strong contract negotiation skills and experience. Aerospace – International, defense and commercial contracts.

Six to 10 years of directly relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Finance, or related field) or equivalent experience is required.
NCMA or other professional level certification(s) and/or related contracts coursework desired.
