Procon Consulting is seeking a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management for the renovation/modernization of 120,000 SF in an occupied federal office building in San Francisco, CA.
Oversight and monitoring of all construction activities.
Perform construction inspection for compliance with contract documents and provide inspection reports. Monitor and inspect the workmanship, construction materials and installation of systems of the project.
Review construction drawings and specifications.
Evaluate construction claims, delay analyses and associated costs.
Prepare and create written reports and correspondence.
Monitor progress relative to the Critical Path Method (CPM) Project Schedule and design/construction scheduling. Review monthly updates to ensure coherent sequencing and logic, as well as compliance with contractual milestone requirements. Where necessary, obtain recovery schedules – including sequence and logic modifications to address areas of critical path impact. Proactively identify and mitigate areas of potential owner, CM, and/or subcontractor caused impact.
Application of knowledge on construction budgeting, materials and methods and industry design standards towards the project.
Accurately calculate construction costs for change orders, which include material, take-offs for construction work, pricing the value of needed work, and negotiating equitable contract adjustments.
Monitor and coordinate that LEED requirements are being met.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, architectural engineering, construction management or related field.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), registered engineer, or registered architect preferable.
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the construction management field preferably on renovation projects in occupied buildings.
Prefer candidates with GSA or federal construction experience.
Experience with replacement of M/E/P and fire/life safety systems in large occupied buildings is preferred.
Successful candidate must be able to provide 3 professional references for applicable work.
Must be proficient in all Microsoft and email applications.
Must be proficient in scheduling with Primavera P6, P3, Microsoft Project, or similar.
Must understand the fundamentals of current construction contract law and have the ability to interpret construction contract drawings and specifications and FAR/GSAR clauses.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
LEEP AP is more favorable.
