Job Requisition Number: 22911. Facilities Services (formerly Physical Plant--Campus Services) works to maintain a campus built environment that is conducive to teaching, learning and research. We strive to continuously improve the campus in partnership with all members of the campus community. Facilities Services is comprised of the following units: Campus Recycling and Refuse Services, Custodial Services, Customer Service Center, Engineering and Technical Services, Environmental Services, Grounds Operations, Shops, and People's Park
Enforces, reviews, and interprets custodial service assignments for entire campus. Develops and monitors operational and budget processes, staff FTE, finance, human resources and space planning for campus wide custodial service programs Determines appropriate custodial service levels and delivery methods to support facility needs for the campus Ensures the campus cleaning needs are met. Ensures custodial requirements are defined, , operating budgets established and financial terms for recharge activities are identified. Monitors adherence to service plans, budgets and schedules. Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing service scope. Provides direct interaction with clients to resolve service issues and determine custodial processes Establishes and oversees health and safety standards. Implements and manages required ongoing safety and operational training for custodial staff Selects, develops and evaluates staff. Ensures all services meet University and Campus standards.Ã¯ Strong skills to facilitate and collaborate with various internal and external constituencies on long- and short-term planning and management. Ã¯ Strong analytical, research and report preparation skills to meet regulatory and budgetary reporting requirements. Ã¯ Broad knowledge in the areas of custodial service delivery Ã¯ Strong skills in management, regulatory compliance and operations planning. Ã¯ Strong skills in leadership, motivation of staff and team-building. Ã¯ Strong skills in verbal and written communications. Ã¯ Experience and knowledge to inspect construction in progress of general and specialty structures, read, sketch and interpret plans and specifications.
Education/Training: Ã¯ Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
