Job Requisition Number: 22623. The College of Environmental Design (CED) operates three academic departments Ã± Architecture, City and Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning Ã± conferring both undergraduate and graduate degrees. CED has 55 full-time and 35 part-time teaching faculty, 44 career staff, and over 1,000 students. The operations of the College are financed with state funds, gifts and endowments and other revenue sources in an amount roughly totaling $18,000,000 annually.

Under supervision, incumbent performs the full range of duties outlined below for the College which include demolish, build, repair and maintenance work at Wurster Hall, Blake Gardens, and Havens House.
*Touch up painting walls or rooms. * Hanging additional materials on existing walls. * Fixing damaged flooring or non-structural walls. *Constructing interior half-height partitions or non-structural walls, doors, or windows *Assemble and install pre-fab furniture and affixing hardware. *Refinishing or repairing table tops, chairs, desks, built-in bookcases, doors, etc. *Building instructional-related furniture (lectures, podiums, display cases, etc.). *Bolting furniture for earthquake safety. *Demolishing, building and installing cabinetry. *Building metal kiosk/AV security boxes & hanging them from ceilings/walls. *Building, extending, or repairing decks or fences.*Incumbent is expected to possess journeyman level skills, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
*Trades experience in carpentry, metalworking and welding, concrete.
*Incumbent is to have First Aid, CPR and AED Certification.
*Must have within one month of hire: CED and/or EH&S certification for: ladder and aerial lift use, hazardous materials storage and use, log-out/tag-out procedures, and Shop tools orientation.
