We are seeking an experienced Director of IT to be based in our headquarters located in Vernon, CA. The ideal candidate has experience as an IT Director with a focus on systems for a manufacturing company, preferably in the window and door fabrication business, is highly detail-oriented, and can work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead role in directing our selected Microsoft Partner and manufacturing divisions to migrate from our existing ERP system to Microsoft NAV, including requirement scoping, data migration, training and testing. This includes meeting or exceeding time and cost parameters. • Manage existing and new relationships with current and future Systems partners, including SoftTech, Edgenet and others. • Drive completion of getting all products into SoftTech V6 system prior to migrating to NAV. • Ensure systems have technical support for users across the company, including providing technical support to users for selective system(s). • Responsible for major and minor application development projects and requests. • Analyze and improve existing processes to maximize efficiency, ROI and utilization of systems investments. • Assist as necessary to the company’s IT Infrastructure team responsible for network administration, help desk, phone systems, disaster recovery and all other support necessary to ensure systems are up and running. • Assist in continuously improving the availability, capability, performance, and quality of all IT systems and infrastructure. • Manages the Company’s technology expense and capital budgets, evaluate needs, conducts cost and productivity analyses, and determines technology priorities to effectively and efficiently utilize Company’s investment in its technology spending. • Works in tandem with the CFO and key division heads to develop a comprehensive 3-Year Technology Strategic Plan. • Meets regularly with the CFO and key division heads to understand their current and future IT needs and provides IT systems consultancy to Company leadership. • Stay current and maintain knowledge of trends, emerging technologies, and information systems development, and determine their potential application to the Company. • Benchmark and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure of IT systems. • Review the performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
• Minimum 8 years of IT Systems leadership preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Strong background in ERP implementation and support. Ideally, experience in Microsoft NAV. • IT systems experience working in a manufacturing company, ideally in the window and door fabrication business. • Ability to partner and mentor other leaders on technology solutions throughout the organization. • Demonstrates analytical problem solving skills in support of new technology initiatives and in the support of existing platforms. • Ability to utilize efficient and cost-effective approaches to integrating technology in the workplace and improving program effectiveness. • Communication skills: ability to translate technology into business solutions and creates a climate of transparency and open communication. • Business acumen - understands how our business works, knowledgeable of external information affecting our business. • Collaborative – builds constructive and effective relationships internally/externally in order to work together in cooperation to accomplish organizational goals including system design, modifications, or trouble shooting. • Organizational savvy – understands the goals, objectives, and perspectives of others and able to work within the culture of the organization. • Situational adaptability – flexible and adaptable when facing tough decisions, is seen as balanced despite the conflicting demands of the situation. • Ability to analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions including ROI and SWOT analyses. • Change Agent – ability to facilitate and manage change initiatives and support team members through it. • Learning Agility - has a natural curiosity and is an active learner. • Very strong project management skills. • Ability to translate functional requirements into a technical design specifications • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, ERP Systems, Estimating systems, Cloud solutions, etc. • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineer/ Information Technology or related field. Master Degree preferred.
