Water Replenishment District
The Water Replenishment District of Southern California is currently recruiting one full-time regular position to perform professional engineering work related to recycled water research, wellhead treatment design, water rate analysis, groundwater basin management, saline plume mitigation and the development of alternative water supplies and renewable projects; including recycled water research, wellhead treatment design, water rate analysis, groundwater basin management, saline plume mitigation and the development of alternative water supplies; evaluating the effectiveness of the District’s efforts to combat seawater intrusion into groundwater supplies and the replenishment of groundwater at District spreading grounds and develops strategies to improve the effectiveness of these efforts; analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of conjunctive use and groundwater storage programs; developing groundwater monitoring programs as needed; and Performs related duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate will have the ability to:
QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be: Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience, including experience in engineering or water quality research. Training: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in civil engineering, hydrology or a closely related field. License: Current, valid registration as a Professional Engineer from the State of California. Desirable Qualifications: Three/five (3/5) years of progressively responsible field operations engineering experience and/or related experience working in water resources. Master’s degree or higher-level degree in civil engineering, hydrology or a closely related field.
