Job Posting: Summary of Essential Job Duties: Working for the Facilities Planning, Design and Construction's Manager, student employees will be part of the annual Room by Room Survey. This is a full time on-site review of all space in the main hospital, associated campus buildings and off campus locations. Working from architectural drawings, student employees will measure space, confirm occupants and cost centers, and note changes in the layout. Annotated drawings will be used to update Medical Center master drawings. Student employees will be surveying up to 3 million square feet of owned and leased space. Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements: Student employees must have completed at least two years of architecture school. Must be proficient in AutoCAD version 2012 or above. Use of scanner, laser distance measurer, and plotter is preferable. Required automation skills in graphics software (Adobe, Corel, Photoshop), Microsoft Office Suite and spread sheets (M.S. Excel) Experience: Previous apprenticeship preferable. Note: This experience may qualify for apprenticeship service. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting. standing. walking) Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
