Under supervision, the Facilities Electrician performs skilled journeyman electrician tasks; maintains, repairs, and installs electrical systems, equipment and components such as: motors and motor controllers, lighting systems, control devices, switches and cables; transformers, lightening arresters and conductors. The Facilities Electrician will test, troubleshoot and locate electrical malfunctions using appropriate test instruments as well as coordinate services with Hospital employees and contractors.
Proof of Journeyman Electrician status.
Previous experience working in acute care/hospital setting.
Five (5) years of experience working on institutional construction projects.
Two (2) years of experience working on OSHPD regulated projects.
Must have a strong knowledge of and experience with tools, equipment and products of the trade.
State certified electrician.
Two (2) years of hospital maintenance experience.
Generator and ATS repairs and testing experience.
Knowledge of CMMS controls (Siemens).
Knowledge on Micro Grid 12 k, 4160 volts systems.
Certified in ABB VFD.
Knowledge on testing and repair of UPS systems.
Ability to work within infection control containments.
Experience working in occupied healthcare environments.

Must have a valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must be able to work at heights; in confined spaces and lift motors.
Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
