Experienced Low Voltage Audio Video Data Tech to support ground-up and tenant improvement or remodel projects on job sites along with troubleshooting or servicing existing systems as well as providing leadership and training and field project management responsibilities. This is a hands-on position requiring the successful candidate not only be able to lead and mentor other individuals and be responsible for meeting team objectives, but also operate independently to complete individual tasks and contribute to the overall success of any project.
Responsibilities and Duties
Must be willing to travel as needed to other jobsites including sites that may be out of state for periods of one to two weeks at a time.
Field Project Team lead – Will be responsible for managing and training crews on jobsites.
Installation, Final Commissioning, and service/troubleshooting of low voltage audio and video distribution cabling and terminations for commercial audio and video systems along with DSP systems, and Audio/Video over IP.
Installation of ethernet cabling and terminations in an enterprise environment.
Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 2 years Construction and Audio Video Systems on the job experience.
Minimum 1 year lead or supervisory experience and coaching skills to effectively mentor other staff.This position will be responsible for leading crews on the jobsite and will be performance measured not only against individual work, but the team’s effectiveness at meeting company goals such as job cost profitability, on time completion, and quality of workmanship.
Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems.
Must have previous experience with commissioning DSP based head end systems such Bose Control Space, TOA DSP, QSC Q-sys, or other Digital Signal processing equipment such as DBX, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, etc.
Previous experience with Digital Signage and media player configuration and deployment preferred.
Previous experience with DLP and Laser projector installation and setup preferred.
Previous experience with CCTV camera system installation and NVR configuration and setup preferred.
Previous experience with Ethernet networking topologies and MDF/IDF closet terminations and router and switch configurations preferred.
Previous experience with fiber optic installation, splicing and terminations is a plus.
Previous experience with VOIP phone system installation as well as old POTS/PBX systems as well as teleconferencing and video conferencing solutions is a plus.
Previous experience with IOT, HDBT, Dante is a plus.
Previous experience with RTI and/or other control systems is a plus.
Current Safety (OSHA) and Scissor Lift certifications are a plus.
Effective communication and use of technology such as smart phone/tablet messaging, laptops, email.
Must not be afraid of heights as job will often be performed on scissor lifts, scaffolding, and tall ladders as well as satellite dish assembly on commercial building roofs.
Professional demeanor, hygiene and grooming is required as the employee would be representing our company image to other general contractors, tradesmen, as well as members of corporate office management.
High school education or some college preferred.
Must have current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must not have any felony criminal background due to requirements from our customers.
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
Must be willing to undergo random drug testing.
Must supply own hand tools, including cordless 18V drill.

Not very often, but some weekend work, early am or late evening work may be required as part of a condition of the jobsite, customer requirements , and schedule. Employee must be willing to be flexible on this as well as travel requirements dictated by scope of work, construction schedules, and work site locations. This is a construction-based job. Often construction jobsites will be noisy, dirty, dusty and work taking place above ceiling spaces, or in locations that are not air-conditioned. Employee must be willing to work in this environment and exercise safety practices to reduce chance of injury.
Employee must be able to sit, kneel, or stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, and do repetitive tasks with few breaks. Employee must be in good physical health without frequent immune-related or physical disability issues due to physical and flexible demands of job schedule and company’s ability to rely on employee to perform tasks as scheduled.
