Under the supervisor of the Facility Manager, the supervisor will establish and monitor staff performance measures, develop and implement customer satisfaction scorecard, develop/monitor performance improvement initiatives, organize/prioritize workloads; provide coordination between facility operations and construction projects; review design and construction documents, develop/monitor cycle maintenance programs, develop and coordinate capital replacement and refurbishment programs; develop and monitor department operational budgets, conduct variance analysis and develop corrective action plans, create and monitor par level purchasing program, generate financial reports,
Represents Facility Engineering in budget variance meetings, perform annual evaluations, conduct coaching and counseling sessions, impose disciplinary action as necessary; recruit and develop staff, develop/implement training programs, coordinate activities with Human Resources, Benefits, and Labor Relations; collect and analyze data to identify trends and develop corrective action plans, generate performance reports, inspect required preventive maintenance work, represent FE on specified committees; participate in EOC rounds, conduct code searches to resolve compliance issues.
The supervisor will act as the liaison between shop personnel, manager, customers, other trades, outside contractors, and other departments. Review work orders in the preventive maintenance system, issue purchase orders, and prepare contractor estimates as required. Communicate work order revisions or delays, and other problems to the manager. The supervisor will coordinate work with outside contractor, perform inspections, and assist with regulatory compliance documentations.
A Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Five (5+) or more years of hospital, central plant, and building maintenance environment experience and have good leadership and communication skills.
Experience in the following areas of maintenance and repair on the following equipment: emergency diesel generators, low/high voltage (120/277/480) electrical distribution systems, electrical equipment Water softeners, DI water, water heaters and water pumping systems, medical gases, air and vacuum systems, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems.
Demonstrated experience carpentry, Painting, Roofing, Plumbing, Metal Shop and Electrical Shop.
Certification in a specialty skilled trade.
A valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
