We are seeking a Lead Structural Engineer with a positive, collaborative work style for our Structural Engineering Studio in our Newport Beach, CA office. Proven experience should include most of the following project types: DSA experience with K-12 education and college/university projects, retail, office, and renovation.
Little is made up of Architects, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers, Land Planners, Landscape Architects & Civil Engineers, Interior Designers, Graphic Designers, CAFM & Strategic Planners and Digital Imaging and Animation specialists. This position provides a unique leadership opportunity, partnering with the Office President and Engineering Leaders to build a strong structural engineering team in the office.
Leading strong client relationships;
Overseeing and performing project work in all phases;
Providing drawing coordination and technical oversight for project activities with clients, staff, and consultants;
Performing site audits prior to design for renovations;
Performing site observations during construction, reviewing shop drawings and material submittals and other related construction administration tasks;
Participating in project pursuits and/or interviews.

Candidates will have some or all of the following qualifications:
You are curious and creative, have a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, and able to collaborate in a team setting;
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred);
Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E. in California);
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience (in Southern California preferred);
Knowledge of Revit a plus;
RAM and 3D analysis software experience;
Proven construction administration experience, including successful field engineering to resolve conflicts and issues;
Experience performing assessments of existing buildings; and
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
