BGL Facilities Consultants is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our on-site team in support of client focused facilities and projects. The ideal candidate will excel in AutoCAD expertise in commercial real estate and be committed to business excellence practices. The candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Approximately 3 years of experience in a facilities, design or architectural firm with emphasis on AutoCAD production.
Bachelor or Associate Degree in Commercial Design, Architecture or related discipline
Functional knowledge of the built environments and understanding of engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
CAD management experience – including but not limited to File management, layer standards, polylines for space management (CAFM), red-line/as-built production, quality control
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office required, CAFM experience beneficial.
Capable of producing construction documents and details for type I and type II buildings, interior and exterior, as-builts, project documentation close-out.
Understand concepts and materials to support design team on technical issues influencing concept development
Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion
Process mapping knowledge to document and develop processes.
Able to manage multiple deadlines, ensure quality control and work independently and in team environment.
