Employment Status: Full-time, temporary "non-exempt" position (with the possibility of converting to probationary).
Work Schedule: To be arranged. Schedule requires flexible working hours including weekends and traveling locally and internationally.

Under the direction of the Assistant Dean of the College of Extended and Global Education (CEGE), the incumbent will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of self-support programs, such as International Training & Education Programs (ITEP) and other short-term programs.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Develops program proposals, associated budgets, and seeks out new business opportunities on behalf of CEGE.
In accordance with International Extension Programs (IEP) guidelines, provides timely and accurate pre-arrival information, develops program outlines, hires instructors, coordinates program logistics and support staff and student assistants, and evaluates program outcomes.
Independently and actively conducts outreach to international universities and other partners to deliver self-support programs.
Conducts assessment of market needs and develops proposals for program delivery.
Identifies and develops new university partners to expand programs and support enrollment growth. Maintains an active network of international university partners.
This includes but is not limited to frequently and consistently communicating with agents including in Chinese language.
Conducts agent training, and provides agents with updates regarding CSUSB programs.
Evaluates agent productivity and recommends agents for renewals or cancellations of agent agreements.
By visiting agents and through student feedback, ensures that agents comply with CSUSB requirements. As a member of the recruitment team, maintains current knowledge of international student mobility and participates in the development of annual recruitment plan.
Participates in quarterly and annual recruitment evaluation.
Provides program reports and conducts other administrative functions that support successful program delivery and continuous program growth.
Coordinates activities and ceremonies.
The incumbent is required to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English and Chinese, and travels locally and internationally to participate in international student recruitment and partnership development as needed.
The incumbent is expected to demonstrate strong management skills to promote programs, online marketing, create and maintain student/faculty databases and keep track of programs and participants.
The incumbent will have a schedule that requires flexible working hours including weekends.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university, preferably with courses in adult education and curriculum planning.
Two years of experience in planning courses or programs in a specialized field or area, preferably in higher, extended, or adult education.
Teaching experience in higher or extended education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience developing resources, budgets, and marketing plans for educational programs and in acting as a liaison with the community is desirable.
Knowledge of the procedures and practices in educational program and curriculum planning; resources of the campus and the surrounding community; and the processes required to plan and construct academic programs and course outlines.
Ability to determine needs for new or revised programs; plan course hours and credit; develop course outlines with instructors; locate instructors and to assist them in understanding and completing contract arrangements; develop budgets and analyze costs; write promotional materials and to develop a variety of promotional techniques; represent the CSU system to the community and develop working relationships; manage logistics of providing classes; and maintain cost information and records.
The ability to read, write and speak fluently in Chinese and English languages along with the ability to interpret both languages are essential along with knowledge of American and Chinese educational systems.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
