ABOUT THE JOB:
Under general supervision, the Videographer/Editor leads and assists in the production of multimedia presentations, prepares cost estimates and recommends equipment purchases. Incumbent confers with content specialists, faculty and staff to determine goals and objectives for multimedia productions; researches topics and prepares script outlines; writes video scripts; surveys locations; coordinates videography, lighting, graphics, scene design, sound and special effects; leads or assists on video shoots and editing projects; and may supervise and train student employees.

Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional experience in video or motion picture arts, marketing, communications, journalism or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in producing video, animations and other multimedia content with an eye for creating visually appealing footage to communicate a story in an engaging manner.
Demonstrated ability to produce video from concept to finished product.
Proficiency at ingesting, editing, rendering, exporting and managing video, as well as mixing and mastering audio, using a contemporary non-linear editing system with associated motion graphics and compression software and willingness to use Adobe Production Premium.
Experience in using video production equipment, including camera, sound, and lighting.
Expertise in production and professional etiquette, as well as production safety standards and risk assessments.
Working knowledge of image manipulation software, such as Adobe Photoshop, motion graphics software, such as After Effects, and vector-based graphics software, such as Illustrator, to edit and manipulate photos and graphics for use in video and animations.
Experience in a higher education environment is highly preferred.
