Applies professional programming concepts for small to medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects. Resolves a variety of programming design and implementation issues. Works on programming assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related area and one year of progressively responsible related experience or equivalent experience/training required.
Intermediate knowledge of applications programming function required.
Knowledge of database theory and systems, specifically: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later required.
Intermediate knowledge relating to the design and development of applications programs across the organization required.
Knowledge of other related areas of IT required.
Knowledge of department processes and procedures required.
Knowledge of PCs and demonstrated experience administering and maintaining servers required.
Knowledge of replication technology and graphics formats required.
Ability to assist with modern client/server applications development infrastructure and project management required.
Ability to assist with standard programming techniques including analysis, flowcharting, design, work measurement, data collection, and workflow processing required.
Systems analysis and data processing skills are required to translate manual operations to automated processes required.
Intermediate skills associated with programming design, modification and implementation required.
Requires interpersonal skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization required.
Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in the organization required.
Has ability to interface with management on a regular basis required.
Has skills needed to develop conversion and system implementation plans required.
Requires ability to understand business needs and how business systems can support those needs required.
Knowledge and skills in web applications, we programming language and object oriented programming concepts required.
Knowledge and skills in systems analysis and design for various applications including statistical analysis application required.
Working knowledge of, and experience with information system of K-12 Schools, UC Doorways, California Standards Test, Transcript Evaluation Services, ASSIST, California High School Exit Exam data, California English Language Development Test data, and K-12 information systems such as Eagle XP, PowerSchool, and SASI/XP preferred.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team required.
Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines required.
