About Us: RJUHSD is a high performing high school district located northeast of Sacramento, California. We are seeking a dynamic administrator to serve as the founding principal of West Park High School, our sixth comprehensive high school to open in August 2020. The founding principal will find innovative ways to use flexible space, combined with great teaching and cutting-edge technology, to maximize the number of students who graduate from college. The brand new high school will open with approximately 900 students in grades 9-10, and will add another grade for the following two years. Once all phases of construction are complete, the campus will serve 2400-2600 students.
Principal Residency: The person selected to serve as the Founding Principal will go through a one-year residency program where they will learn about our district while opening the new high school. The person will start on July 1, 2019 and will be responsible for hiring a full founding staff and working with RJUHSD leadership to implement an innovative model of schooling to match the innovative design and architecture of the campus. Valid CA Administrative Services Credential required.
Previous high school teaching experience preferred.
Advanced degree and extensive experience as a comprehensive high school administrator desired.
Additional Salary Information: Contract is 220 days/year
About Roseville Joint Union High School District
The Roseville Joint Union High School District is a growing high school district that currently serves the needs of more than 10,000 students. Geographically, the District extends from Granite Bay and the city of Roseville in Placer County through portions of Antelope in Sacramento County. The District operates five comprehensive high schools, a continuation school, an independent study school and an adult school. A sixth comprehensive high school is scheduled to open in 2020.
The District has maintained executive planning with a healthy reserve. It has also established and continued a positive relationship with both teacher and classified association representatives.
