The Public Works Department is recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer. Under general supervision, plans, organizes and directs the activities of either the Engineering Division or Municipal Utilities Department staff engaged in professional engineering activities for a variety of public works and utilities capital improvement programs to include plan checking and development services and/or the preparation of plans, specifications, designs, estimates, schedules, inspections and project management activities for construction and maintenance programs
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a closely related field or possession of a valid California Engineer-In-Training Certificate and five (5) years of responsible experience in design, development review or construction management of civil engineering projects, one (1) year of which was at a level equivalent to the City's class of Associate Engineer.
Must possess a valid California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer. Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
