The Senior Project Manager manages the design and construction of capital projects, including renovations, expansions and new facilities and infrastructure as well as landscape projects; collect, develop, and analyze technical data to determine project requirements and preparation of information regarding specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and completion times.
The Senior Project Manager duties include monitoring and maintaining project scope, schedule and approved budget. The Project Manager is the liaison between the users and the architect, engineer and general contractor for the project. The Project Manager is the hospital representative and represents the University in all matters related to that construction project.
A Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Five (5+) or more years of project management experience, preferably managing construction projects in an acute care hospital environment.
Experience and knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration and California Building Codes, including advanced understanding of industry practices, or deep expertise in a highly specialized and critical discipline.
Ten (10) years of experience in construction management and/or supervision.
Architectural, engineering or general contractor's license.
Estimating and construction administration experience.
Hospital experience/knowledge of hospital infrastructure.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
