We are looking for a Campus Programs and Event Specialist for our Stanford Redwood City campus. Our new Stanford Redwood City campus brings together 2,200 staff in a collaborative environment that reflects Stanford's culture and mission. The campus offers amenities such as onsite cafes and a dining pavilion, multi-function conference center and outdoor venues, a high-end fitness facility with an outdoor pool, and a childcare center for Stanford families. You will serve as the primary point of contact for event and program planning at the Stanford Redwood City campus.

The Campus Programs and Events Specialist reports to the Campus Services Manager and will be part of the Stanford Redwood City Operations Department. The Campus Programs and Events Specialist will provide leadership and direction for new and current event programs and projects for the Stanford Redwood City campus. Work with the Campus Services Manager and key stakeholders to plan and implement events and programs to build community in Redwood City and connection with the main Stanford campus. CORE DUTIES*:
Lead the planning and operations for programs requiring subject matter expertise.
Evaluate programs or functions, policies and procedures. Identify issues, and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures.
Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the event and program strategy.
Act as department representative at cross-departmental meetings
Manage and contribute e to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.
May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
Assess training needs and may develop associated training.
May direct and/or supervise staff.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.
Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.
Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
