UCR Extension is the continuing and professional education division of the University of California, Riverside offering over 80 programs and certificates to domestic and international students. This is a continuous recruitment for part-time instructors to teach one or more courses in Extension's Professional Certificate in Paralegal Studies, the only American Bar Association-approved program in the Inland Empire. The Professional Certificate in Paralegal Studies resides in the Department of Professional Programs. Curriculum for this program is designed to teach adult learners legal theory and includes practical application during internship. Classes are 10-12 weeks in length and average four teaching hours per week. Courses in this program are offered online and in-person. Courses delivered in-person are typically scheduled days and evenings, Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays.
