The Global Compensation Leader for our Solar Turbines business will be part of the group's HR Leadership team and report to the Vice President of HR for Solar Turbines. This position is accountable for the leadership, direction and prioritization of the company’s central HR function, principally in the area of Compensation & Benefits. Additional areas of responsibility include ownership of Human Resources Information Systems, Data Analytics, Compliance and Workforce Planning. The HR programs developed and administered by this group of professional specialists are linked to the business strategies and objectives of the Company. Typical internal customers include Executive leadership, Directors, HR Directors/Managers, HR Reps, employees, senior management and frequently involves significant interaction with outside vendors, government representatives and professional organizations.
Role and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Compensation & Benefits
Lead the development and implementation of company-wide compensation strategies for a global division with ~8,000 employees In North America, South America, Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific.
Responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs.
Manage and evolve the organizations pay scale and structure
Drive innovation in development and utilization of compensation instruments to attract, reward, recognize and retain employees
Work with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements.
Deep knowledge of the compensation as a sub-function of HR.
Support the development of communication tools to enhance employee understanding of company total rewards package.
Provides direct leadership to 6 direct reports and a total team of approximately 25, comprising of Compensation and HR subject matter experts
Research literature, attend seminars, survey competitive remuneration to understand industry trends
Provide consultative advice, support and recommendations regarding administrative direction to Management in all Compensation and Benefits issues
HRIS, Compliance and Data Analytics
Leads a team of HR system subject matter experts to manage HRIS and data analytics
Manage and executes key compliance initiatives within HR and ensures timely completion of government filings and appropriate response to related inquiries
Develop and maintain workforce planning framework in partnership with the business and Talent Acquisition
A Bachelor’s level degree (preferred fields – economics, accounting, human resources)
At least 13 years of experience in Human Resources
Strong background and experience in Compensation
Experience working for large, matrixed corporations (5,000+ employees globally)
Experience with HR systems, solutions and technology (for example: Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Success Factors and/or Service Now)
Excellent analytical skills
Experience in leading and implementing new HR programs and initiatives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to manage sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions and to manage stressful situations on a regular basis
Demonstrated ability to address and communicate to all levels of the company from the Executive Office to the shop floor
A Master’s degree in HR or related discipline
Previous work experience with a global company as a Global Compensation Leader
Experience in the manufacturing space
Experience with EEO Compliance or audit response
Experience with both union and non-union global workforce
Fortune 100 HR experience
Workforce Planning experience
Experience with Data Analytics for HR
Experience with Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Success Factors and/or ServiceNow
Experience in leading large global teams
