Piechota Architecture is a boutique design studio in San Francisco and currently accepting CVs/Resumes for the position of Junior Architectural Designer to join our creative team.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum three years of work experience in custom residential and commercial design. The position is best suited to an independently motivated and well-organized individual who would like to participate in the development of projects from the schematic design phase through construction administration under the direction of the Principal and Project Leader.
The main responsibilities for the position will include working with the project team on the execution of design ideas, communication with clients, assistance with the coordination of consultants, research of local codes, production of construction documents, assistance with the guidance of projects through the approvals process to permitting.
Candidate must be detail oriented, show proven problem solving skills and be able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously. Applicant should have strong design skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience should include exposure to project design, documentation and construction administration. The studio works in ArchiCad, Sketch Up and ArchiOffice; familiarity with these or other BIM software is ideal.
Candidate’s background should include at least three years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree in architecture. The firm provides competitive compensation and a generous employee benefits program including health insurance and paid vacation as well as an every-other-Friday-off work schedule.
