Job Summary Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance and Information Systems, Facilities, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial support and analysis for Facilities operations and construction projects. Will support Sr. Director in some of the most complex construction projects, analyses and reporting. This individual will be able to work independently as well as be a resource for peers. The successful candidate will have superior financial management skills and experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Job Duties - Analyze accounts, transactions and data to determine accuracy and to understand trends. Proactively make recommendations for improvements - Support complex construction projects; create, review, and approve purchase requisitions, invoices and funding allotments - Establish and review processes and procedures, and help drive continuous improvement - Design effective reports; prepare documents and materials for presentation by management, respond to information requests, and other ad hoc reporting as needed - Lead and manage Facilities projects from inception to completion, analyzing and presenting comprehensive financial information - Interpret and effectively communicate accounting and purchasing polices to staff and customers; recommend appropriate action to be taken - Provide leadership and guidance to coworkers and customers - Provide assistance to internal and/or external auditors regarding audits of financial transactions, policies, procedures, and practices - Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree + seven years of demonstrated experience in accounting or finance, or high school diploma, or equivalent, + 10 years of demonstrated experience in accounting or finance - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate financial objectives and strategies effectively to all audiences - Self-starter with the ability to work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams - Solid knowledge of accounting principles is essential - Demonstrated experience working accurately with a high degree of detail - Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills - Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of initiative - Advanced Microsoft Excel and business intelligence skills - Demonstrated ability to guide and explain work product and processes to peers
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence, Cognos, and/or AiM is preferred - Experience working in a facilities environment or organization
