Stanford Transportation manages Stanford's award-winning Transportation Demand Management program, which includes Stanford's Commute Club, free Marguerite shuttle, transit and car-free options, bicycle program, and parking operations.
Immediate Opening: The Events Program Coordinator reports to the Retail Team Supervisor. This position interacts with Stanford faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors on a daily basis, providing customer service for event parking and services program. The coordinator will serve as a backup, for all transportation products and services.
What you will do in this role: You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Answers phone and email requests and communications regarding the events parking program
Create and maintain relationship with event coordinators on campus
Aid the Retail Team Supervisor in managing the online content related to the events parking program
Process requests for event parking
Manage the event parking calendar and event parking inventory system
Coordinate with the parking team on parking availability
Coordinate with the department of public safety on event parking signage
Gather metrics data on event parking for the retail team supervisor
Create invoices and process event parking payments
Manage event parking signage
Work closely with the department of public safety, especially when event parking spaces are taken up by non-authorized parkers
Act as back up for CSR positions when time allows and as necessary
Performs other general duties relevant to job and department needs as determined by supervisor
To be successful in this role you must bring:
High school diploma and four years of administrative and or customer service experience, or combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates the skills necessary to provide friendly customer service and act in a professional manner at all times
Demonstrated ability to interact patiently and courteously with a variety of people
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be willing to learn policies and procedures and use information to make sound decisions on routine basis
Strong administrative and organizational skills; detail-oriented
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Ability to function effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with frequent interruptions
Be able to perform detailed and repetitive work accurately and expeditiously
Requires occasional work schedule adjustments and ability/willingness to work overtime during peak periods
