Under the direction of the Senior LVN Supervisor and the attending physician, the employee is responsible for daily functions of the Irvine satellite clinic. In collaboration with the Medical Assistants and front office staff, monitors clinic activity and maintains patient flow and takes appropriate action to ensure effective and efficient patient care. Oversees overall clinic workflow and assures that all administrative and clinic tasks are accurately performed in a timely manner aimed at meeting both patient and physician needs. Trouble shoots problems and issues. Provides nursing assistance in the Otolaryngology Irvine satellite practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing patients for examinations & assisting physicians during exams; administers medication; instructs patients in treatment plan; instructs and assists patients provides lab orders and treatment calendars. Follows Universal Precautions, maintains a clean & safe environment, participates in the patient flow process, participates in performance improvement projects, & takes responsibility to achieve service excellence. Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills necessary to effectively & professionally interact with physicians, staff and patients.
Experience with physicians, Medical Assistants, and front office staff.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Bilingual in Spanish.
