The Clinical Nurse Educator will be primarily responsible for clinical instruction in affiliated hospitals in Orange County. The Clinical Nurse Educator will also assist with formative and summative assessment and simulated activities related to the pre-licensure programs. Ensures quality and safe delivery of nursing service to patients and promotes harmonious relationships among the health care team.
Must have a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in an acute care setting.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Certificate within area of specialty preferred. BLS Certification.
Strong interpersonal skills to provide education, training, and resources, and to develop positive working relationships with nursing staff and leadership. Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline. Strong skills in written and verbal communications to collaborate productively in a team environment with all levels of internal and external personnel and to convey complex clinical information in a clear, concise manner. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess moderately-complex problems to develop potential solutions. Must possess a valid and current California license to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) card and must be maintained in accordance with the American Heart Association standards. Must have a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in an acute care setting. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required.
Thorough knowledge of delivering clinical nursing education and training material for orientation and skills / competency learning and leadership development. Master's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
