As an integrated part of the department, the Project Coordinator assists the team in implementing and tracking specific short-term/long term projects and provides administrative support. He/She will coordinate resources and information needed for projects including scheduling/planning meetings and project activities. The Project Coordinator will provide support in other areas as needed.
Minimum Education:High School Diploma RequiredBachelorâs degree in a related health field or equivalent experience/education preferred.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:At least 1-3 years of project design or administrative experience required with at least 2 years project related experience in a healthcare environment preferably.Demonstrated professional experience at a similar level of complexity, including responsibility for multiple or major projects management.Knowledge in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns and formulate recommendations.Demonstrated experience in organizing and defining tasks, setting priorities, working independently, and following through with minimal direction in order to perform effectively under conditions of frequent interruptions, fluctuating workloads, and conflicting time demands. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material with discretion.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relations with widely diverse groups such as administrative and clinical staff members, executives, and faculty on a variety of complex issues and administrative tasks.Demonstrated ability to establish constructive working relationships with members of departmental staff by performing duties in a cooperative and helpful manner.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal communication)Advanced skill in computer programs, Word, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.), PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. required.Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data (data manipulation)Preferred:Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Experience in healthcare environments (hospital or clinics)Required License/Certification:Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 90 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
