This is an outstanding opportunity to serve as a key member of a high-performing, quality-focused senior leadership team in a results-driven healthcare system. The new COO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a 418 licensed bed academic medical center. The COO oversees most hospital administrative functions including: General and Ancillary Support Services; Facilities
Management; Design and Construction; and Special Projects including reengineering/productivity analysis projects. The COO will work closely with the medical center's leadership team to achieve critical goals and pursue necessary strategies for continued success. The COO will help drive the organization to thrive, expand its footprint and bolster the medical center’s reputation for exceptional care throughout Orange County and the region, which includes but is not limited to Western Riverside County and South Los Angeles County.
Candidates should possess senior leadership experience, a strong record of achievement, and a history of successfully working in a complex, urban, academic healthcare organization within an ever-changing landscape of increased competition. The next COO should have a deep understanding of changing healthcare reimbursement structures, consolidating markets, shifting alliances, and increasing regulatory oversight. This is a highly visible leadership role, which requires an operations leader who is an outstanding communicator, results-oriented, quality-driven, responsive, and innovative. The work is focused on optimizing culture, quality, safety, the patient experience, and cost in partnership with senior leadership, physician leadership, and caregivers.
This position is open due to the promotion of Chad Lefteris from COO to CEO.
