The Vice President, Operations will lead the daily operations of Chase Center, Thrive City plaza, Golden State Warriors Practice Facility and two off-site office locations in San Francisco and Oakland. As a key member of the arena’s executive management team, you will provide leadership to the operations, engineering, event conversion, facilities, maintenance, safety, project management, and loading dock operations teams, while managing union relations and third-party vendors. The scope of this position encompasses a 24-hour, 7 days a week operation executing over 200 events annually. This position reports to the General Manager, Chase Center.

This is a full-time position located in San Francisco, CA.
Lead the Back of House team to a world-class standard of performance for sports and entertainment events (e.g. basketball games and concerts); Work with internal departments and outside agencies to ensure that work rules, jurisdictions, codes, and policies are maintained
Supervise the Engineering team and provide arena maintenance, systems operations, capital improvements and facility upkeep to meet or exceed NBA standards & requirements; Manage the physical plant and related building systems
Coordinate construction, renovation, preventive maintenance, energy conservation projects, and provide guidance on environmental issues (e.g. indoor air quality concerns, environmental conservation, pandemic response plans, etc.)
Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), training of users, and tracking & reporting of all Chase Center facility maintenance records
Manage the safety and risks of operations through an awareness of legal issues, staff training, and internal controls and process
Analyze financial and operating reports and initiate action to improve performance; Collaborate with all P&L managers to develop, execute, and support strategic plans and programs in accordance with business objectives
Develop and maintain ongoing operational plans to include annual budgets, operating and event pro-formas, conversion timelines, operational policies and procedures
Schedule and direct union and non-union labor; Collaborate with HR and Legal in the development and management of labor policies and procedures, negotiations, and dispute resolution
Lead the implementation of all sustainability programs, plans, and initiatives to ensure compliance with state and local regulations
Represent the organization in all applicable industry/trade organizations, and serve as the primary point of contact for all NBA-related facility issues
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience
Minimum 10 years of facility management experience, preferably within a multipurpose sports arena or similar environment;
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience across a wide-range of operating functions, preferably within a union environment
Deep understanding of industry and venue management, including event sales & marketing, production, operations, guest services, food and beverage operations, risk management, budgets and pro-formas
Excellent project management and time management skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills; Able to interact in a professional and diplomatic manner with clients and peers at all levels
Ability to work nights, weekend and holidays

Chase Center is an indoor arena in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The building is the home venue for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. The arena is composed of multiple layers and floors, has a seating capacity of 18,064 and a multi-purpose area that includes a theater configuration with an entrance overlooking a newly built park. The venue also contains 580,000 square feet (54,000 m2) of office and lab space and has 100,000 square feet (9,300 m2) of retail space. Chase Center also includes a 35,000 square foot public plaza/recreation area. The arena includes a parking facility of approximately 950 spaces and is accessible to public transportation around the area.
