From pre-sales through the ongoing nurturing of a client relationship, deep subject matter expertise is vital to a successful engagement in today’s business information environment. The complexity associated with sales and service requires that subject matter experts be available to answer advanced questions about our data and delivery systems. These SMEs need to be dedicated to client-facing activities, and closely tied to the success of individual client relationships.
The need for a sophisticated level of data consulting support has heightened as the data landscape has broadened beyond traditional credit data and data management technologies. This has increased the need to empirically demonstrate unique value proposition in the market.
In order to meet the challenges of sales and service in today’s environment, a tactical approach that leverages a deep knowledge of data engineering is required. Therefore, BIS is seeking a data consultant to collaborate with other internal and client facing team members in defining specific solutions for prospects and clients.
Provide customized “proof of value” and “fit for purpose” deliverables developed from a deep understanding of BIS data and how it supports our value propositions
Deliver the BIS data story with a passion and enthusiasm that resonates across multiple use cases
Support the sales process with basic analysis such as hit rate coverage, data depth and standard score distribution statistics on their portfolio
Research data supply issues/inconsistencies and delivery issues as they arise, and which potentially impact client value/trust.
Develop customized data delivery criteria to meet client requirements where required
Recommend product or delivery improvements based on direct client research
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Business Data Management
Strong ability to communicate complex concepts associated with sourcing, aggregating and delivering business data to prospects and clients
Expert in identifying critical data needs of prospects and clients, and constructing specific “proof of value” and “fit for purpose” deliverables
Experience working with data management, data scientists, product managers and technical teams to ensure client issues are clearly articulated and solutions are identified and implemented
Strong interpersonal skills, comfort with pubic speaking and senior level client engagements
Well organized with good oral and written skills
