![]() Lecturer Pool - Non-Studio Classes- Department of Architecture The Department of Architecture at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary, part-time lecturers to teach courses in the following areas: Architectural History and Theory, Building Science, Structures, Construction, and Design & Social Factors should an opening arise. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester (fall, spring and summer), depending upon the needs of the Architecture department. Semester positions range from 11% to 67% and typically start at the beginning of the semester. Starting salary is commensurate with highest degree, teaching experience, and equity within the Department. This pool will remain open until October 15, 2021 to accommodate upcoming department needs. Those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that date will need to reapply. General Duties: In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and using Cal's electronic resources for course management. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree (or equivalent international degree) at time of application. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree; minimally a Master's degree (or equivalent international degree) in Architecture or related field at time of application.
