Months of Employment: 12 Months Per Year

Work Schedule: Depending on start date, position may require that you work remotely Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Schedule and shift are subject to change in accordance with department needs.)

Primary Purpose:

This position is responsible for performing specialized and technical duties to assist in the operation and maintenance of an instructional laboratory or a technical support service center.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Two years college-level course work in area of specialization and extensive practical experience in area of specialization.

Desirable Qualifications:

Prior experience in approaching work and interactions with colleagues and/or students in an equity minded manner. Ability to provide an inclusive and welcoming work/educational environment.

Experience collaborating with faculty, peers, and other staff to address the needs of diverse student and employee populations in laboratory and laboratory preparation environments.

Experience with soldering and other minor electrical and mechanical repairs.

Minor construction skills such as metal and wood-cutting.

Experience in the assembly of laboratory and demonstration equipment, and equipment repair.

Experience setting up, using, repairing, and maintaining astronomical viewing equipment.

Familiarity or experience with oceanography, geology, engineering, and/or engineering technology programs and equipment.

Salary Range: $4,325 -$5,242 Per Month
