Included among these on-campus offices are the Counseling Center, Student Health Psychiatry, Academic Departments, Disability Services Center, FRESH Basic Needs Hub, Financial Aid, Campus Billing, Dean of Students, Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct, Veteran Services Center, LGBT Resource Center, Student Success Initiatives, Campus Assault Resources & Education, International Center, Child Care Services, Center for Student Wellness & Health Promotion, Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity, Graduate and Family Housing, Police Department, Legal Counsel, and the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. The incumbent reports to the Director of the Office of the Campus Social Worker in Wellness, Health and Counseling Services and will be the bridge between available campus resources and those that exist in the community. More specifically, this position will provide expertise in working with high-risk individuals and families, their needs, and resources available to them particularly as Graduate and Family Housing residents. Compensation Range: $81,996.24 - $94,183.20 Department Website: https://whcs.uci.edu/ Required: Advanced degree from an accredited institution in Social Work. Possession of a Clinical Social Worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and three years of post-master's experiences. Licensure is required to demonstrate behavioral health expertise, not for the practice of therapy. Bachelor's degree. Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in California. Advanced degree from an accredited institution in Social Work. Possession of a Clinical Social Worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and three years of post-master's experiences. Licensure is required to demonstrate behavioral health expertise, not for the practice of therapy. Ability to work on a broad variety of difficult cases and display effective knowledge of the social work profession. Detailed working knowledge of federal regulations impacting student records, including FERPA and HIPAA required. Must be able to demonstrate respect and integrate cultural sensitivity when providing services. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with GFH residents and families on a one-to-one basis, as well as faculty, staff, and community members of diverse cultural, social, and religious backgrounds and varied age, gender, and sexual orientation. Skilled in coordinating, directing, evaluating, and implementing case management services for individuals with multiple psychological problems. Demonstrated skills in crisis management under conditions of limited supervision, high demands, and rapidly changing circumstances as well as developing and maintaining effective interaction with clients, university community, and outside agencies. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Skilled in effectively conveying information to individuals at various organizational levels. Ability to compose clear, grammatically correct, well-constructed correspondence, reports, and informational materials. Ability to speak formally and informally and make prepared and extemporaneous presentations to individuals and groups in order to provide information, explain procedures, investigate facts, and persuade others. Demonstrated ability to research, write analytical reports, and make presentations on issues related to Graduate and Family Housing (GFH) residents and GFH resident needs. Ability to develop, implement, and market new programs. Working knowledge of computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, student records database and systems, and electronic mail applications, in order to perform all administrative responsibilities associated with the position. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every resident, and assists in achieving the university's commitment to a vision of excellence. Preferred: Master's degree Experience in higher education case management. Experience working with Electronic Medical Records and Student Records Systems. Experience working within residential settings such as shelters, residential treatment facilities, emergency and/or transitional housing or other housing entities with an understanding of potential behavioral impacts on the community dynamics. Knowledge of available resources in the broader Orange County and Southern California area that can assist GFH residents and the campus population in meeting their psychosocial needs.
