Description

BROAD FUNCTION:

Responsible for sales & revenue development, prospecting, marketing, market penetration and demonstration of Package Integrity leak testing technology including the Contura S series leak detector within the Western region states of: Washington, Montana, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, California, Alaska, Hawaii as well as provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and potentially additional geography. Growth expectations are significant year over year as our market share and presence increases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prospecting and new business generation.
  • Excellent communication and demonstration of our leak detection technologies and methods.
  • Generate sales among new users and existing customers to increase market share within account responsibility.
  • Forecast and meet aggressive revenue generation forecast.
  • Develop & maintain excellent relationships with strategic accounts, OEM's and industry companies.
  • Build and carry out strategic plan/direction through management. Accurately forecast annual and quarterly sales for territory. Supply market feedback on products, accounts, competitors and competitive trends. Build presence and visibility at major Key Accounts in Food, Pharmaceutical, Medical and other major industry packaging accounts to determine key decision makers, industry influencers and to set up product/application seminars/webinars and demonstrations so as to solidify relationships using the INFICON Key Account Plan.
  • Provides technical advice to current and potential customers regarding specific application of company products to meet customer needs. Maintain positive relationship with existing customer base to generates additional sales as well as word of mouth references to additional clients.
  • Build and promote marketing plans in conjunction with time and territory management plans to assure sales revenue and client growth and/or increased market share within territory.
  • Maintain collaborative, positive contact with sales, service and other company personnel to maintain team effort to customers. Attends trade shows, seminars, and training sessions to keep informed of current trends in semi market and competitive products and activities.
  • Build the ability to fully comprehend, articulate and demonstrate the full line of products, technologies and value to customers. Prepare quotes, correspondence, forecasts, monthly reports and Key Account Plan along with live time CRM input on clients.
  • Make constructive recommendations concerning product line revisions, pricing changes, and sales policy changes. Assists with development of sales/marketing plan for territory and implements plan to meet sales quota by product category and dollar volume.
  • Provides feedback to USA Sales Management and INFICON Marketing on a routine basis; including monthly reports in the areas of: industry trends, new application/product opportunities, product design features, competitive activity, key account happenings and training needs.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Packaging or related field, alternatively in sufficiently technical arena or equivalent technical experience.
  • At least five (5) years' successful work experience in a technical B2B sales occupation. Experience working within the Packaging Industry, Packaging Film Supply Industry market or, alternatively Package Leak Testing equipment are all highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (MS Office) programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Travel expectations of up to 50% of the time prior to Covid-19. We do expect it to return to this range eventually.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with CRM software and Lotus Notes preferred.
