The USC department of Facilities Planning and Management (FPM) â Engineering Services: is seeking Asset Renew Program Manager to join its team.
THE WORK YOU WILL DO
The Asset Renewal Program Manager is responsible for people management, workload assignments, quality control, and task oversight to execute the engineering tasks related to the MEP AR Projects.Â The Program Manager is responsible to review that all goals are met, review technical content of the assessments, and training and development of the team.Â This position reports directly to the Engineering Support Group Associate Director and is accountable for the project engineering support on all MEP AR Projects.
The AR Engineering Support Team consists of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers.Â The team is responsible for technical scope development and assessment reports, design review and construction administration technical support through.Â The engineering team works in tandem with the Facilities Project Manager to ensure that all technical aspects of the AR projects meet the needs of the University, the standards in the USC Facility Design Guidelines, and the long term operational and maintenance needs of the systems.Â The Asset Renewal Support Team Reports directly to the Asset Renewal Program Manager.
The Asset Renewal Program Manager
Responsible to lead the Asset Renewal Support Team, a focused team of mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers, including workload management, expectations, accountabilities and responsibilities.Â Responsibilities will also include creating and driving the program goals and KPIs.
Provides quality assurance to the Customers
Provides quality control of all support services provided by the Team.
Acts as the liaison between Engineering Services and the Asset Renewal Project Management team.Â May also engage with the university community related to Asset Renewal projects.
Displays strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Has experience managing engineering teams
Displays strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and/or fire protection systems.
Displays strong organizational skills including workload management and time management
The ideal candidate for the position of Asset Renewal Program Manager meets the following criteria:
Education/degree in a related field
Minimum 10 yearsâ experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and/or fire protection design.
Demonstrated experience in the management of technical teams required.Â Experience with asset renewal type programs a plus.
Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of California a plus.
Experience in facilities management and/or installation/construction experience specifically related to mechanical trades a plus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSÂ Â
Candidates for the position of Asset Renewal Program Manager must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field; however, combined experience and educationÂ as a substitute for minimum education.
3 years of experience in Facilities Program Management.
Directly related education and management experience with increasing leadership/management responsibility in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing and/or fire protection systems.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
