The Water and Energy Technology Laboratory is looking for a qualified postdoctoral researcher that is self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic to work on a irrigation water management and agrivoltaic systems. The duties of the postdoc will include i) developing agrivoltaic systems and studying the energy and water efficiency in energy-food co-generation; ii) writing papers describing the results of the evaluations and investigations, and iii) assisting with the oversight of graduate and undergraduate assistants working on these projects.

A PhD degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering and related field is required. Applicants must have background in evapotranspiration and irrigation water management. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Highly self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent scientific research successfully are desirable. Preference will be given to those applicants with strong backgrounds in water, energy and food nexus, irrigation water management, and agrivoltaic systems.
