FEDVET CONSTRUCTION is hiring for a superintendent with Federal Project Experience. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. If you don’t fill all of the qualifications, you may still be considered depending on your level of experience.
- Oversees the daily activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress reporting
- Maintain relationships with all project stakeholders including client(s)
- Maintain daily activities on PROCORE and Army Corp of Engineers Resident Management System (RMS)
- Ability to perform the functions of a Tri-Hat - Superintendent, QC, and Safety
- Promote job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately
- Provides leadership for environmental, safety, health, injury/accident and fire prevention on the project
- Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned civil work activities or applicable project specific policies and procedures
- Coordinate with the General Foreman and Foreman on all project activities
- Coordinate with all sub-contractors on all project activities
- Work closely with other discipline superintendents or Superintendents and coordinate efforts and activities to meet the overall project requirements
Qualifications for superintendent:
- Experience with building trade supervision
- 4-year degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), 8 to 10 years of experience in field construction is required
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, familiarity with industry practices
- Must have experience with construction in the areas of earthwork, formwork, rebar, anchor bolts, embeds, concrete, grout, drainage, structural steel, architectural, and paving
- Army Corp of Engineers project experience preferred
- Must have EM385
- Must have QCM
- Must have OSHA 30
- Knowledge in PROCORE
- Knowledge in Army Resident Management System (RMS)
