Our Bay Area Regional Construction Management Team in Sunnyvale, CA (Silicon Valley) has an opportunity for a talented Construction Manager. We are currently managing the construction of a $100M primary treatment facility that is in a series of planned upgrades and expansion. Based on Sunnyvale’s overall Program for their Water Pollution Control Plant, this is a long-term opportunity with several projects to follow.

About being a Construction Manager with Psomas 

The Construction Manager is responsible for providing the day-to-day management of all construction related matters including supervision of staff, contract administration, implementing technical solutions on construction/design issues, monitoring schedule and managing budget.

Responsibility Highlights for Construction Manager with Psomas 

• Manage relationships between the Client, contractors, and designers
• Perform Constructability Reviews
• Preparation of reports and schedules for management
• Oversee contract correspondence, including submittals, request for information, change order requests and design clarifications. 
• Negotiate change orders and recommend acceptance by the Owner
• Analyze construction claims and recommend steps to successful resolution

Minimum Qualifications 

• California Professional Engineering license
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 10 years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the start-up and testing of wastewater treatment plants or related facilities
• Knowledge of Procore
