ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department.
- Responsible for all aspects of facility management, including but not limited to: facilities staff, scheduling, budgeting, and capital projects for CBU Athletics Facilities.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of athletics facilities (CBU Events Center, Soccer Complex, Van Dyne Gym, Totman Stadium, Funk Stadium, Wrestling Room and Aquatic Center).
- Serves on the athletic department’s Executive and Leadership Teams.
- Serves as a sports supervisor and works as a liaison with the sports conference(s).
- Works in conjunction with University’s Facilities and Planning Services to coordinate updates, preventative maintenance, and facility enhancements; tracks and monitors athletics facility work orders, and maintenance requests.
- Works with vendors to prepare and evaluate bids and makes recommendations to the Director of Athletics for related equipment, materials, and services.
- Coordinates with university campus departments for scheduling and use of all athletic facilities.
- Serves as the main point of contact for external users of the CBU Events Center for site visits, scheduling, contracts, and payments.
- Responsibility to know current NCAA, Conference (and all other organizations in which the University holds membership) rules, regulations and deadlines governing sponsored sports. Have a working knowledge of playing rules for event management and event protocols.
- Serves as primary or secondary Event Manager for athletic and non-athletic events as needed.
- Oversee the scheduling and assigning of competition dates and practice times.
- Responsible for understanding and reporting any compliance issues regarding countable athletically related activities (CARA) or student-athlete welfare.
- Acts as the athletic liaison with campus food operations, and other campus partners such as custodial staff, Campus Safety Services, University Conference and Events, and University Admissions.
- Maintain facility usage schedule and approve game schedules in coordination with other department personnel.
- Assists with University capital projects and construction planning related to athletic facilities.
- Maintain and prioritize current and future athletic facility upgrades and designs.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and social welfare of student-athletes.
- Establish a safe venue environment for students, student-athletes, and guests.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Secondary level athletic experience preferred.
