The Sr. Financial Analyst-Major Captial Projects uses advanced professional concepts and organizational objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. The position works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. UCSF Major Capital Construction Department is looking for a candidate who exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. This position will have contacts that are both internal and external to the department at all levels.
This position will be hybrid but require somebody to be onsite regularly.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments and expenses for New Hospital at Parnassus Heights using advanced professional knowledge in the areas of construction financial practices; University internal policy and construction contracts. Ensure that the project finance and accounting processes are impeccable and avoid University financial risks.
- Interpretation, preparation and timely processing of all payments associated with construction, design and consultant contracts including Cost Plus Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP)/IFOA contracts (payment value $5-$20M + each month)
- Reconcile Unifier and the Medical Center accounting general ledger. Independently, analyze the variances, research, and resolve conflicts or errors with internal departments and external companies. Manage month-end account closing.
- Assist in preparing detailed monthly financial reports and analysis to Sr. Executive Leadership including Cash Flows, Sources and Uses schedules, Job Cost Reports, Donor Stewardship reporting, Inter-divisional reconciliations, and detailed equipment saving schedules
- Assist in the coordination of internal and third-party audits- per major project (~ 2-4 audits per year)
