Purpose Statement / Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the activities of the Network Management department for all MemorialCare Medical Foundation provider networks. The position is expected to assemble financial data for routine reports in preparation of contract and network analysis using claims and authorization data as well as develop and maintain various databases and spreadsheet reports to ensure that provider contracts and provider networks meet established financial performance requirements. Attain technical competency with: (1) various computer applications and data sources (patient billing, cost accounting, accounting, budgeting) to extract data timely and accurately, and with (2) various PC software (Microsoft Office suite, etc.) to manipulate data.
Ensure routine reports are reviewed and analyzed by department Directors and distributed in a timely manner. Assist managers and report recipients with questions or concerns about the data provided. Understand which customer requests should be escalated to the Executive Director or department director.
This position needs to have the ability to develop rapport with management and is required to react calmly in stressful situations and handle duties in an expedient and professional manner.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

- Acquire and develop competency with a variety of data systems and PC software tools including, but not limited to: EPIC, EPSI, Strata, and Microsoft Office.
- Assist and collaborate with senior team members and other departments to design and run both queries and reports based on provider network reporting requests.
- Must understand general accounting principles.
- Communicate professionally with all levels of management.
- Ability to resolve routine problems and the judgment necessary to escalate issues when appropriate.
- Prioritize and multitask, while maintaining data integrity.

Essential Job Outcomes
- Produce routine reports for all MemorialCare Medical Foundation provider networks and maintain statistics for reporting needs
- Acts as a project manager for special non-recurring and ongoing projects at the request of leadership working both independently and within a team which may include: data analysis, creation of presentations, disseminating information, and management of project documents.
- With the supervision of senior analysts or management, conduct audits to validate data accuracy.
- Ensure reports are reviewed by senior analysts or management and distributed in a timely manner.
- Acquire and develop competency with a variety of financial systems including; EPSI, Strata, Peoplesoft, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), interface to EPIC data, and MS Office.
- Use data analytics and applications to identify and implement process improvement solutions.
- Organize report recipient questions and collaborate with senior analysts or management to assist in Manager’s understanding of their data.
- Can be depended upon to exercise good judgment in decisions made in the director’s absence.
