The UCSF Real Estate BIM/CAD Analyst role responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining BIM and CAD standards for construction project documentation from project start-up through the final compliance check. The Analyst will review documentation and work with project managers, architects and consultants to ensure documents are aligned with the standards. This role will also work with other units across UCSF to develop and maintain document standards and libraries.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
*is an analytical individual looking to utilize their understanding of data management and reporting in combination with AutoCAD and Revit proficiency
*has experience working with CAD and Revit files, BIM models, GIS and other data formats/systems.
*understands the basics of design, construction, and project management processes
*is proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings, documents, and standards
*has excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong decision-making ability, and is experienced in understanding university guidelines and processes
*anticipates team needs in order to provide accurate information and solutions.
*is motivated to create and maintain processes that ensure compliance with UC standards
*has excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
*can work independently and within a team environment, remain current in technology and be extremely well-organized and flexible
*can actively partner with other team members from Business Intelligence, UCSF Real Estate, and the institution to identify, develop and implement process improvements
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
*Partner with the Project Management team to ensure drawings and construction documents meet UC-approved standards, are complete, follow document naming conventions, and are stored in the system of record.
*Participate in design reviews and compliance checks. Provide guidance to project teams on standards.
*Engage in the development, review and adoption of document standards at the project level.
*Conduct audits of new and existing documentation to ensure consistency and standardization according to UC standards and guidelines.
*Provide backup support for the Real Estate archivist for document management and information retrieval.
