FORMA Development Design Management is a real estate development company specializing in mixed-use multifamily, hospitality, and commercial projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a versatile and talented Architectural Designer (Job Captain) to provide architecture, interior design and administrative services. This position offers exposure to all aspects of project design management, project administration and provides the chance to work closely with principal and other members of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide design documents, space planning, and create FF&E plan specifications
- Knowledgeable and up-to-date with materials and finishes
- Prepare, update, and maintain project info, marketing, and material library
- Support team members in preparing proposals, project documentation, presentations, research, and project accounting/invoicing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of experience working in an architectural or development office with mixed-use multifamily experience
- Degree in Design or Architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, 3D modeling, Adobe Creative Suit
- Knowledge of detailing, building code
- Strong analytical, verbal, written communication skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and report on findings
- Ability to self manage, make decision in the absence of superiors, and work effectively on a variety of projects simultaneously
- Proactive and resourceful with great problem solving skills
- Excellent coordination, organization, project management, prioritization, and multi taking skills with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail and accuracy
- Not required but a plus: LEED accreditation and pre-assemble/pre-fab construction experience
