The Department of Facilities Management is seeking a full-time Deputy Director to oversee the Capital Improvements Division and Real Estate Services Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, contract negotiations, staffing, scheduling activities of complex projects, and managing building construction. They will also possess knowledge of policy development and implementation, organizational analysis and management, and supervision and conflict resolution. The Deputy Director will organize, direct, and implement multiple complex programs in the Facilities Management Department including capital improvement activities and programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in architecture, civil engineering, or facility management, including two years of management responsibility.
Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field. Additional training in management is highly desirable.
Required License or Certificate:
- Possession of current State of California registration as a professional architect is desirable. If registration is granted by a state other than California, registration granted in the State of California must be obtained within one year of employment.
- May need to possess a valid driver's license as required by the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
