Purpose Statement / Position Summary
The Enterprise Principal Architects are technology leaders among architects. They drive the technical design of scalable systems for MemorialCare. Enterprise Principal Architects connect MemorialCare’s longterm vision, the business and the technical strategy to build an industry-leading platform. They use deep understanding of distributed systems, algorithms optimization, and healthcare knowledge to build a new category of products intersecting deep learning and computing with industry-leading technologies. They harness groundbreaking technologies and build impactful products and platforms that redefines the capabilities of Medical Doctors and MemorialCare’s healthcare systems. Principal Software Architects require an understanding of a broad spectrum of technologies used within MemorialCare. Principal Software Architects must be well-versed with new and emerging technologies available in the marketplace. They demonstrate extensive leadership and communication skills while working collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring enterprise-class solutions are judiciously designed and properly executed. The position drives best practices and adopts bestin-class architectural standards to be used at MemorialCare. Principal Software Architects involve a high degree of autonomy along with a fundamental ability to infuse project delivery with principles that are agile and lean.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Develop strategy and technical direction for enterprise-class solutions to support key business requirements.
- Lead development and execution of architecture, engineering, and operational portfolio of applications, ensuring evolvement with recognition to business directions, the competitive landscape, and potential disruptive technologies
- Evaluate newfound MemorialCare business initiatives and apprehensions with an eye towards application rationalization across the entire enterprise and an ability to react quickly and positively to new or emergent situations
- Provide technical and clinical leadership for the end-to-end evaluation and implementation of new technology and application/solution, including standard commercial products, custom applications, and hybrid solutions
- Apply knowledge of systems and business to the development of technical design for large complex processes and projects. Conduct research and makes recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
